Where is your favorite place? Why?
Montenegro is definitely up there because of the diversity in the scenery. You’re by a gorgeous mountain lake in the forest one minute, and the next you’re overlooking a beautiful ocean scenery from a small town on a hill.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Corn nuts. I can’t help myself.
What is your favorite quote?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Do Bible verses count?
iPhone or Android?

If you could pass on words of wisdom to someone in the beginning stages of their career, what would you share with them?
Always keep an open mind and always remain courteous with a response, no matter how busy you are. If you’re not staying open to new technologies and capabilities that are out there, then you’ll just grow comfortable with what you’re doing day in and day out and won’t be able to push yourself and the boundaries for your client. When I was on the agency side working as a planner, I would respond to every single vendor who reached out, whether it was with a simple yes or a simple no. And if they didn’t make a plan after submitting their RFP, I’d always reach out and let them know why. I can’t count how many times I’d see vendors at events and they’d thank me that I got back to them at all, even if it was with bad news – they were extremely appreciative and always offered their help in the future if I needed it. It was one of those exact same vendors who helped me get my first gig on the sales side. I realize I say that now through the lense of a seller, but how I interacted with vendors on the agency side years ago, had a direct impact on where I ended up.
How do you balance your personal life and work life?
There’s a balance? Haha, jk. I’ve been fortunate to have worked from home for the last 3.5 years ever since I started here at Simpli.fi, and that inevitably forced me to find that discipline to know when to focus on your work even with all of the distractions around you at home, and when to remind yourself to shut it off and take time for yourself. As a seller, it can be especially tough because you receive requests throughout all times of the day working with clients who are in different time zones, so you learn to prioritize requests and you determine what you can get to later on, so it doesn’t disrupt from having that time to yourself to disconnect and relax. If you’re constantly going back to check your inbox, it’ll inevitably disrupt the, “flow” of your time spent to yourself and you’ll really never get to fully recharge.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Loyal, honest & sarcastic.
What is your favorite thing about LVIMA?
I love that now after having been involved for 2 years, I feel like I’m a part of the community and I actually know people who I’ve developed strong relationships and friendships with. And I enjoy equally knowing that there will always be someone knew to connect with as our community continues to grow and pushes the boundaries of what it is.
