PWHL Las Vegas Shares a First Look at Team’s Vision During LVIMA’s Digital Technology & Planning Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAS VEGAS (August 5, 2026) — Marketing and business leaders received an exclusive look at the future of professional women’s hockey in Las Vegas as Sheri Hudspeth, Director of Business Operations for the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) Las Vegas, took the stage at the Las Vegas Innovation Marketing Association’s (LVIMA) annual Digital Technology & Planning Day (DTPD).

Hudspeth joined LVIMA board member Tom Heaton for a moderated conversation where she shared an early look at the vision for bringing the league’s newest team to Las Vegas, discussing how the organization plans to build a team that reflects the city’s unique identity while creating meaningful connections and growing a fanbase before the first puck drops for the 2026-27 season.

“Fans of PWHL Las Vegas can expect world-class women’s hockey that’s fast, physical, and fiercely competitive, combined with an in-arena experience that’s energetic, welcoming, and fun from the moment they walk through the doors. Together, the on and off ice moments will create an entertainment experience that’s built for both passionate hockey fans and those who are experiencing professional hockey for the first time,” said Hudspeth.

LVIMA is the first stage Hudspeth has taken in her new role, giving local marketers a look at the team’s plans months ahead of its debut at T-Mobile Arena.

“Sheri gave our audience a rare behind-the-scenes view of building a professional sports brand from zero,” said Brandie Feuer, Chairwoman of LVIMA. “As a Vegas-born organization ourselves, we’re proud to spotlight leaders investing in this city’s future and strengthening the community that makes Las Vegas so special.”

The session was part of Neon Future, this year’s edition of LVIMA’s Digital Technology & Planning Day. The half-day conference drew nearly 200 local marketers, innovators, and business leaders to explore how technology, AI, and bold thinking are reshaping marketing and consumer engagement.

As Las Vegas continues to establish itself as one of the nation’s premier professional sports cities, the arrival of the PWHL marks another milestone in the city’s growing sports landscape and its commitment to expanding opportunities for women’s professional athletics.
