Networking Las Vegas Since 2004…

LVIMA (Las Vegas Innovation Marketing Association) is one of the city’s professional treasures.  Since 2004, the group has been gathering some of the finest minds in the rapidly changing digital technology and marketing landscape to host and present a dynamic annual series of networking and educational events.

From the very beginning, the organization tapped into the rich digital marketing resources which uniquely support the vibrant and dynamic Las Vegas market.  The city is a global destination, and to keep pace, the associated digital marketing community has always been far ahead of its time.  While the community digital marketing roots are in (agency, brand, technology) support of the travel and hospitality and entertainment sectors, the city has also grown to include a broadening focus on sports marketing (with the arrival of the beloved Golden Knights and the new Las Vegas Raiders) and retail and other verticals.

This all-volunteer organization is led by a Board that is reflective of the group’s membership, and Board members come from the top agencies, brands and technology companies in the area.  With a strong membership base, the LVIMA team focuses on initiatives like:

  1. Bringing exciting national speakers (like Heidi Browning Pearson, EVP/CMO of the NHL and Rishad Tabaccowala, author of Restoring the Soul of Business:  Staying Human in the Age of Data) to share their insights and experience with local members.
  2. Hosting an annual technology and digital marketing planning summit to bring national adtech and martech companies together with local brands and agencies for wide-ranging discussions about the best and latest technology to support their work.
  3. Hosting an annual Awards event to showcase and honor the groundbreaking work that members are doing in and for the Las Vegas market.
  4. Connecting with UNLV marketing students and graduates to bridge the school-to-work gap with meaningful internships and member introductions and job support to keep those bright minds in-market.
  5. Partnering with local charities (that members choose) to facilitate a “giving back” to the community in ways that connect member talent and expertise with appropriate local non-profits.
  6. And. So. Much. More.

A Strengthened National Alliance ….

Recognizing a strong network of other city organizations and moving to tap into a more national collaborative and cooperative discussion, LVIMA rejoined the National IMA Association leadership to broaden the connection to other city organizations and to share ideas about the future.  These relationships have helped LVIMA to develop a stronger speaker and sponsor network, and it has also brought new and fully-vetted ideas for the Board to incorporate in upcoming events. The resilience of LVIMA during the COVID downturn speaks to not just the local Board efforts but also to the successful relationships the organization has developed and benefited from throughout the country.
