Job description

The Inventory Specialist’s primary responsibility is to maintain a strong operational relationship with a portfolio of hotels for Vegas.com, while working directly with an account manager. As part of the hotel team, the Inventory Specialist will execute strategies on behalf of the team in order to maximize capabilities with the portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist Account Manager with pricing strategies and inventory restrictions of portfolio
  • Assist Account Manager with tracking current and upcoming promotional opportunities with participating partners
  • Conduct daily rate shops and communicate findings to impacted partners; work with partners on ways to resolve outstanding pricing issues.
  • View all internet sites from the consumer perspective to assure implemented rate strategies are displaying correctly
  • Generate reports as determined by Account Manager to determine support market analysis and dialogue with portfolio
  • Work with Supplier Support-Associate Managers and Partner Services team to maximize inventory utilization to ensure accuracy, profitability and consistent supply.
  • Monitor utilization of products and communicate inventory needs to external partners.
  • Analyze reports and secure additional inventory over high demand and compression periods.
  • React to and implement changes to inventory for times, dates, prices, dark dates, cancellations and increase or decrease of inventory blocks and perform quality assurance upon launch completion.
  • Act as the secondary partner contact and advocate for all questions and issues affecting client inventory.
  • Conduct quality assurance review on all new products and promotional offerings.

Skills and Requirements

  • Hospitality experience required
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Detail oriented, hands on, team player with strong interpersonal skills. Must have good * Must demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and self-confidence
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
