Marilyn Nimmo is a Visiting Lecturer at UNLV’s Lee Business School, where she teaches marketing and international business courses that connect academic theory with real-world application. She earned her Master’s in Communication from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing on organizational, leadership, and marketing communication.
Marilyn has led and mentored students across public speaking and communication courses at UNLV and is an active committee member with the Las Vegas Innovation Marketing Association (LVIMA), where she helps strengthen ties between the academic and professional marketing communities.
Originally from California, Marilyn began college early through concurrent enrollment in high school, laying a strong foundation for her academic and professional path. She later moved to Las Vegas to pursue a degree in Communication Studies and compete as a student-athlete on the UNLV Rodeo Team.
Balancing athletics, academics, and diverse work experiences across multiple industries, Marilyn has developed a strong ability to lead, communicate, and problem-solve in dynamic settings. She brings this experience into the classroom, where she is committed to creating meaningful learning environments and supporting student success through strategic, real-world communication.
