President’s Letter

While we are all in the process of deciding what to wear for Halloween (which is, after all, the correct event to be currently discussing in early October!), LVIMA duty calls! I direct your frazzled fall attention to the last two events of our stellar LVIMA year. Please mark your calendars!

Our October breakfast event on October 27th (at Cili Restaurant at the Bali Hai Golf Club Resort) will focus on Virtual Reality (so preferable to plain old ordinary reality, don’t you think?). We have a powerful lineup of speakers – watch your emails for event and RSVP details coming soon!

We’ll then turn all of our Board attention to producing the amazing event which closes down our spectacular season – the December 8th Awards Dinner in downtown Las Vegas. You have one really smart and immediate thing to add to your to do list: Enter your work. Nominate your partners. Review the new awards (http://lvima.com/2016-lvdma-award-submission/)/

Do it now!!! (Please).

We are hard at work with the Oracle team (our presenting sponsor again this year, thank you very much!) to make sure the evening is both surprising AND even more fun than last year, though that won’t be easy. We’ve revamped the awards and added some new categories. We have enlisted the aid of four national judges, and we have a top secret (no bribery allowed!) local judge who will determine who brings home the trophies. You all absolutely blew last year’s judges away with your work, so I’m woring you – you’ve set a high bar…..

And speaking of bar, we are looking for a sponsor to host the pre-event cocktail party so if you have interest in that sweet spot (we’ll even name a drink after you!), send a note to [email protected], and we’ll get you the details.

Table sponsorships are going fast and will definitely soon sell out – this is the best $1500 your company can spend in December in Las Vegas, I promise you!
There will be celebrating. There will be drinking. There will be great food. There will be awesome work. And there will be a fitting and festive sense of closure to a truly awesome LVIMA year. Join us!!

Best,
Lynn Ingham, LVIMA President
