At the Las Vegas Innovation Marketing Association (LVIMA), we pride ourselves on creating events that are equal parts educational, inspirational, and legendary. That magic only happens when everyone feels safe, seen, and respected.

This Code of Conduct outlines what we expect at every LVIMA gathering, whether it’s an in-person mixer or educational event, virtual event, leadership meeting, or chat.

Respect is the Rule

We’re a diverse community of marketing pros — junior members to executives, media buyers to data nerds. We ask all attendees to:

• Be kind, courteous, and professional.
  
• Welcome new members with open minds and good energy.
  
• Listen as much as you talk. (It’s about making new connections, after all)
  

Zero Tolerance Policy

We don’t mess around here. Harassment of any kind is not welcome. Including:

• Failure to obey any rules or regulations of the event venue, LVIMA Board, event staff, or chat moderators;
• Intimidating, harassing, abusive, bullying, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning speech, materials, or conduct by any participants of the event and related event activities;
• Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or (dis)ability;
• Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language;
• Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person;
• Any boisterous, lewd, or offensive behavior or language, including but not limited to using sexually explicit or offensive language, materials or conduct, or any language, behavior, or content that contains profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.

If you wouldn’t be proud to see it as a meme on social media the next morning, don’t say or do it here.

Speak Up, Safely

If you experience or witness behavior that concerns you, we’re here to listen and act. See something? Say something. 

You can report issues confidentially to any LVIMA Executive Board Member or email [email protected]. We take every report seriously and will follow up appropriately with the utmost confidentiality.

Violations Are Serious Business

Our team and event volunteers are here to keep the environment fun and safe for everyone. 

Anyone violating this Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the event and could lose their LVIMA membership. Our events are a privilege, not a right.
