CELEBRATING THE WORK (CAMPAIGNS)

  1. Best Cause Marketing Campaign
    • As marketers, the brands we work for and with have the power to use their voices for good. Big or small, whether it was supporting a non-profit, lending your brand voice to get out the vote or advocating against inequalities, how did your marketing campaign make a difference in the world?
    • Eligibility qualifications: Can be a paid or organic campaign and must showcase at least 2 moments/iterations of support (or a complete campaign). Must share how the campaign tied back to your brand ethos or why you chose to support this cause.
  2. Best Integrated Campaign – $200k or less
    • Great stories are made of many pieces, and they don’t always have to cost an arm and a leg. What campaign did you launch that created a WOW experience for your customers at every touch point? Was there a campaign that blew the doors off your ROAS expectations? Drove record-breaking leads? Brand or DR. Top, mid or bottom funnel, share the work that you’re adding to your case-study portfolio.
    • Eligibility qualifications: The campaign must have a media spend of $200k or less. It can be an organic execution as long as the campaign lived across 3 tactics (e.g. website, email, paid search or social, programmatic, on-property/in-store).
  3. Best Integrated Campaign – $200k or more
    • Great stories have many pieces. What campaign did you launch that created a WOW experience for your customers at every touchpoint? Was there a campaign that had everyone buzzing about your brand? Did it exceed all your expectations? Never been done before? Brand or DR. Top, mid or bottom funnel, share the work that you’re adding to your case-study portfolio.
    • Eligibility qualifications: The campaign must have a media spend of $200k or more. The campaign must live across at least 3 tactics (e.g. website, OOH, Programmatic or PR, Social, OTT).

CELEBRATING THE WORK (INNOVATIONS & EXECUTIONS)

  1. Most Original Use of Social Media
    • For many, social media is the first connection with customers. It’s the voice of the brand. It’s the channel that has its pulse on what’s trending. Whether it was an organic post(s), a full-blown campaign or an influencer series that took your social channel(s) by storm, what was the most original way you used social media this year to further your businesses goals?
    • Eligibility qualifications: Can be a paid, owned or earned social-first campaign. Must showcase how the use drove success against an objective or was an innovative use of a social platform.  
  2. Best Partnership
    • Las Vegas and neon. Chicken and waffles. Beyoncé and Jay-Z. These are power partnerships. What was your power partnership of 2020? This could be an influencer collaboration, a unique sponsorship/partnership with another brand, a brand/publisher collaboration or a technology partner.
    • Eligibility qualifications: Can be a paid, owned or earned partnership and must showcase how the partnership(s) drove success against a business objective or was a first-of-its-kind collaboration.
  3. Best Technology Innovation
    • We couldn’t do what we do best without technology. Tech is often the unsung hero behind any successful campaign. AI, VR, site enhancements, new shopping experience, a new tech stack or reporting visualizations– what were the technology tools and tricks you used to elevate a campaign, consumer engagement or provide efficiencies in your team’s workflow? How did technology help you elevate a campaign (or partnership) into the stratosphere of success?!
    • Eligibility qualifications: The sky is the limit! Big or small, brand, agency or publisher, this category is for you to show off your best innovations!

because the ones who are LEMONADE MAKERS
are the ones who change the world… or at least make it a little sweeter.

In this extraordinary and hopefully Once-In-A-Lifetime moment – in which we ALL find ourselves – we unexpectedly had (and have) a challenge to meet together.  How do we work from home – or momentarily not work at all – and yet stay connected in meaningful, life-affirming ways?  While we certainly don’t have all the answers, our members kept learning, growing and thriving in that true Las Vegas spirited way. We want to celebrate that indominable spirit with these next three award categories. We call them our Lemonade Maker Series.

  1. Best Cause Marketing – COVID Related
    • Wow! What a year. In our own ways, we were all Lemonade Makers. We all pivoted our marketing in some way to support businesses impacted by the pandemic. Whether you helped a brand create a safety guide, institute curbside pick-up, created a virtual series or shared your marketing chops pro-bono for a business, what COVID-related work are you most proud of?
    • Eligibility qualifications: The work must relate to COVID health, hope or business changes in a clear way.
  2. Shining Star: Lemonade Maker – Business Pivot
    • We look around and see an empty canvas, a future that does not fit into the containers of the past.  And boy, did we get creative! Big, small, one-off or long-term, we’d love to hear your “Making Lemonade” story. Share your business pivot story here, whether it’s personal or something you helped implement for your company. Was it a new revenue stream? A switch to eCom? A virtual series? Published a book? Launched an Etsy shop? We want to celebrate these sweet innovations.
  3. Shining Star: Lemonade Maker – Leader
    • Leaders come in all shapes and sizes. Despite their title, they all have one thing in common – they are highly effective in achieving positive change. In a year like no other, this leader helped their team and company make lemonade from lemons. They led with authenticity and empathy. They led with positivity and encouraged “failure” to drive success and learnings. They were a role model, a shoulder to lean on, influenced strategy and drove innovation in a time when everyone needed to think differently.

THE SHINING STAR SERIES

  1. Shining Star: Agency
    • Agency folks, consultants, one-person shows, this award is for you! Nominate yourself or a colleague who is *that* person. That person that is the glue that holds the team together. The person that is always lending a helping hand. Are they on the cutting edge and always sharing their knowledge? Do they push the team to try new things? They can talk any client off the ledge or are always there with the perfect insight nugget. Were they the ones organizing remote happy hours, sending you words of encouragement and leading the charge for change? Senior or up and comer, if they are a Shining Star to your agency, we want to celebrate them!
  2. Shining Star: Brand
    • Brand folks, this award is for you! Nominate yourself or a colleague who is *that* person. That person that is the glue that holds the team together. The person that is always lending a helping hand. Are they on the cutting edge and always sharing their knowledge? Do they push the team to try new things? Always there with a strategic plan that hits just the right notes? Were they the ones organizing remote happy hours, sending you words of encouragement and leading the charge for change? Senior or up and comer, if you consider them a Shining Star, this award is to celebrate them!
  3. Shining Star: Salesperson
    • Sellers, if you call on or support Las Vegas clients, this award is for you and your team! Nominate yourself or that awesome Account Manager that works tirelessly behind the scenes for you. You’re the person that is always there for brand or agency folks with a helping hand, awesome insights, a strategic media proposal or a perfectly formatted report. You’re at the top of your game, or maybe you know an up and comer you work with that deserves to hear their praises sung. Either way, submit away! We want to celebrate YOU.

Overall Award Eligibility:

  1. Submissions are FREE to any LVIMA Members in good standing.
  2. Work submissions should be for work completed (or currently live) from November 1, 2019 – November 1, 2020.
  3. If you are an Associate Member, the work you are submitting must have been done in partnership with a Las Vegas brand/agency.
  4. If you are an Associate Member submitting for a Shining Star award, the person must call on or support Las Vegas.
  5. If you are an Agency with multiple offices, the work submitted should be led by or mostly worked on by your Las Vegas office.
