Media Specialist – Resident Show Division

This position is required to be in office 3 days of the week.

We are currently looking for a Media Specialist to join our Marketing team for the Resident Shows Division (RSD). The Media Specialist will be responsible for providing support to all Media activities and various Marketing initiatives, under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager. This position is key in facilitating requests, negotiating and planning, tracking results and ensuring effective and consistent communication flow. The ideal candidate will have the drive to create and maintain strong professional relationships, both internally and externally, to promote and encourage a positive and productive work environment. This candidate will also have strong organizational and analytical skills, while possessing the ability to multi-task.

The Media Specialist will have the opportunity to:

  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective traditional media partners and vendors
  • Lead the negotiation of traditional advertising buys with various partners
  • Research, evaluate and launch advertising partners in Las Vegas, Orlando, feeder markets and other markets, as assigned
  • Work with Accounts Payable to onboard new partners and ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices
  • Collaborate and assist Marketing leaders with overall strategy and traditional media planning, as well as execution of approved plans
  • Collaborate with the Digital Media, Graphics and Marketing teams with creative recommendations and optimizations to create efficiencies through various placements
  • Manage traditional media flighting and budgets across all RSD shows
  • Traffic creative assets to media partners, as needed
  • Complete key project management tasks, such as media grid updates and timeline tracking
  • Maintain up-to-date media kits for all vendors including, but not limited to: placements, specs, ad submission requirements, contacts, etc.
  • Research new and innovative placements, while analyzing data to identify opportunities that would improve the performance of team
  • Communicate market insights, recommendations and results to leadership in a professional manner
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned. 

What does it take for this role?

The following hard skills are the basics of what’s needed to be successful in this position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Media or in a related field
  • At least four years of previous experience in Entertainment Marketing, Advertising or agency experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Flexible availability for the occasional evening or weekend event
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization
