Manager Marketing Operations

Who are we hiring?

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the people, processes, technology, and data that support MSG Sphere’s marketing strategies and campaigns. An effective manager of marketing operations will help our department operate efficiently and cohesively, providing an organizational backbone to the creative work and marketing campaigns from our Consumer Marketing team.

What will you do?

• Oversee all aspects of marketing department operations, delivering regular reports to senior management
• Ensure smooth cross-functioning of different sub-departments
• Implement processes to improve marketing department efficiency and agility, especially with internal divisions, external resources, and vendors
• Support internal media professionals in the execution of their marketing buys, including the accounts payable and contracting process
• Support creative professionals in the production of marketing materials, including the creative brief and review process
• Provide cross-functional coordination, communications, and reporting
• Evaluate, implement, and manage the marketing technology systems and integrations required to run the department
• Plan, direct, and coordinate marketing policies and programs
• Monitor and reconcile monthly billings of marketing department
• Ensure our business meets best practices for marketing governance and data privacy
• Develop reports and dashboards that measure the effectiveness of our marketing channels and measure team-wide efficiency by role, step, or project
• Provide insights to stakeholders in the business
• Ensure campaigns follow standard processes and meet quality standards

What do you need to succeed?

• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Accurate, systematic, and methodical professional
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects
• Passion for helping organizations run efficiently
• Excellent team player with good judgment
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or related field
• 5+ years of marketing experience in similar role
• Project management skills that include the ability to:
o Manage complex digital projects
o Manage change programs with key stakeholders
o Manage spend vs. budget reporting for projects, including ROI reporting on activities
o Identify compliance risks
o Implement a marketing strategy and define KPIs
• Program management or project management certifications a plus (e.g., PMP)
