We are deeply grateful for the contributions of John Durham. Durham, has he was known, was an industry institution who helped launch countless careers. He was the head of our sister organization, sfBIG. Sadly, we lost John in 2022 but honor his memory and contributions. His contribution to LVIMA cannot be overstated. His memory and example remain an inspiration to us all.
John was well known for his Durhanisms. These were just one of the many ways he inspired us to produce great work and live our best lives.
Durhamism. (n) An aphorism describing life and truth. A compass that guides the willing toward a life well-lived. A sorbet for the soul. If Cole Porter had written koans, they would be Durhamisms.
